The Environmental Handbook

Prepared for the first national environmental teach-in: April 22, 1970.

1970s — the last chance for a future that makes ecological sense.

The crisis of the environment cannot wait another decade for answers. The national day of environmental concern will attempt to probe for those answers on campuses and communities across the country. This handbook brings together students, scientists, writers, and othes to focus on some of the major problems. It does not stop there — it also suggests action that can be taken right now in any community.
