The Men of Brewster Place

Naylor returns to the fictional neighborhood, this time focusing on the men behind the women who inhabited that desolate block of row houses, telling their tragic, sad, funny, and heroic stories. The Men of Brewster Place explores the lives and fates of seven men, from Basil Michael–who marries a woman he does not love for the sake of her children, to Eugene Turner–torn between his homosexuality and his beloved wife.
